iOS 4.3.3

Well today I updated my iPod to iOS 4.3.3, going from 4.3.1. It went smoothly, however I need to find a better way of backing up my Cydia apps and tweaks before I update. Things I’ve tried such as aptbackup haven’t worked, but maybe it’s not supposed to work with a clean restore like when I tried it.

Anyway, the good news is that the preferences are intact, so when I get a package reinstalled all the settings are ok, and the device seems a little snappier now that I’ve got FakeClockup installed. Darn animations make the thing feel slow.

I think there may actually have been a battery life problem with the previous version of Redsn0w, because now the battery isn’t draining as quickly as it used to.

This time around in redsn0w I installed multitouch gestures and boot logo support, something to play with this week.
